i owe a debt to the photo-realists of the 60s and 70s.i enjoy rendering the play of light in shades of grey.one can lose themselves in the faint scraping of pencil to paper.time and outward sensations are blunted or even negated.of course there is also the electric feeling of watching the emergence of 3-d on an 2-d medium.the photo is the springboard for the ensuing rendition of reality.thank you and please send comments.

i must agree with you as well, the movements of the pencil against the the paper can be hypnotising at times. i admire your third photo even though its pencil, it has a watercolour feel to it. great job.
