I'm still here...I have been dealing with the medical field lately but think I have things all lined up for my attack.
On the lighter side of things the paints are flowing again. I have done a couple new pictures and am excited to soon upload for your viewing .
On the 30th & 31st of August I'll be at Winchester Bay for the Art by the Bay show that is put on by Friends of Winchester Bay. I'll be set up for my first showing and will be doing some painting and visiting with the many that will attend. I'm very excited to be able to participate. Hope to see you there.

So whats going on

Just wondering how everyone is doing. Does anybody read these blogs?
If so, I've finished a couple of dead soldiers that I left on the side of the road. Getting ready to post as soon as my camera feels like working again. Maybe it was the few bounces off the wall or the under the truck tire thing. Some times I tend to get a little frustrated but I'm learning to channel those times onto the paper.
I've been asked to design a few tattos for my friends. Two of them are being immortalized in the next week. That makes me feel Great about them being inked for life. That's some thing that wont get put in a closet or even fade out of existence.
My latest picture is "Big Wave". I made it for my niece who just got married. With all this in mind, it's time to hit the paper with some abstract I was commissioned to do. What a treat to be able to just let it out!

Started !!!

Well it's taken me way to long but I finally got the work space set up, the brushes out of there box, the paper on the table and the water next to the paints.
In my past life style I had a tough time with completing anything. Now I'm trying to be a good soldier and pick up all those incomplete paintings that I left on the side of the road for dead.
Thats my gift to me this New Year. My other gift is a new set of headphones. Now the watercolors are flowing on the paper, the music is jamming through my head and the images are bouncing around the walls of my brain trying to find there way onto the paper...
Damn I love this life of mine !!!

I'm ready to start painting again. I've gotten things together finally. The table is set up in my room. The images are running through my mind. Every where I look I see something that I want to capture on paper. I'm living in Bend, Oregon now. Right in the center of the state. East of the cascade range just down the street from the Deschutes River. Not only do I get to go fly fishing now but a chance to see the river and lakes from the front lines.
Right now as I write this it is starting to snow again. The sun is out too. You ask how can this be? That's just the way it is here in Bend. 300 days of sunshine out of the year. This place that I've landed for a while definetly has the 4 seasons to enjoy. San Diego, California is great too. Oh how I miss the sunny days on the beach. I suppose that I'll have to spend time there and here. Why not do it if you can! And I can...

I'm sitting here in Bend,Or. and I'm watching the wonderful sunrise. I'ts a clear and crisp this morning. My heart is filled with JOY and HOPE as the sky becomes lighter. It's full of all those warm colors of the sun,and set against the most beautiful shades of blue. The fore ground is a dark shade of black,browns and dark greens. That just makes the sky POP out with its colors. I hope for all of you this same picture to carry you through another day. Grateful for another day to share and feel alive and well, Ric
