Recently graduated in Photography from UCA Rochester,England, I am currently based in London, great place to travel from (I also like working abroad!). I set up the Plumkin Pie Studio in an ex-industrial area of the city, now mostly taken over by artists.
It's a lovely place to work and I set up most of my shoots there at the moment. In creating a picture, the focus is on telling a story and,of course in the chemistry between model and photographer. I like knowing a bit of the people i work for/with, and it sometimes takes a few meetings/briefings/weeks (and testshoots) before proceeding to the final shoot.
Art shouldn't be rushed, right? :)

Inversed Garden.May 2009.

Inversed Garden is my latest installation, still hanging in the studio right now.It shows in the series "Daydreamer", tested first-hand by pretty Daniela, my model. This installation is really a reccuring piece in my work, I exhibited it last year under the name "Death, Dreams and other revelations",made out of dead roses instead of leaves, in the Dolly Macabre show in London along with "...So I asked the Darkness".
The eerie inversed garden,always made of dead vegetal things, is an allegory for beautiful memories, a place where time is suspended, as in dreams, somewhere that doesn't really exist but that one spends a lifetime trying to find again.

Rock'n'Roll Neverland 2008.

The Project Rock'n'Roll Neverland was commissioned by and for the Den Haag Singers/Songwriters Guild. It was shot in the Nederlands last year.
The style of the pictures differs from my most recent work but to be honest I'm planning to work with more props and flowers again soon.
For the project we wanted to make images in romantic renaissance rock'n'roll style. and I can't wait to explore that theme again. :)
