I'm a 40 year old Nebraska native, I have mainly painted in oils and acrylics, have done watercolors and pencil. I am a realist, I like to paint wildlife, animals, or whatever trips my trigger. I try to take workshops when I can because I am never too old to learn something new.

attending workshop

Every year there is a workshop in Halsey, NE at the 4-H camp. There is a five day and three day workshop with four instructors. Last year was my first time, and I took PK King's oil painting class. This year I am taking Claudia Coberly's mixed media course. I saw how it inspired a fellow artist's work, and would like to see if it can help me loosen up! If anyone knows of Claudia, I would like to hear from you.

Thanks Pamela, I'm not sure exactly what you meant by saying my works are 'small', some are, some are not. I think 80X60cms (peacock feathers)is fairly large. It is challenging though 'blowing up' tiny details but that's what I love.

Thank you for your compliment, Pamela! When I looked at your work, I was immediately struck by "Here Kitty" - I would swear that is my Grandma from long ago on the farm. Wow the memories that painting has brought up for me! I love to see images of small farm life, sadly I think it will be lost in history soon... Keep up the great work! Carla

have you looked at alliance of artist residencies website? they have listings of workshops and programs available across the country .... many give scholarships .... check it out. keep up the nice work.

Good morning Pamela,
Thank you for your appreciation of my work. Disney was a great experience but being successful in the company almost caused me to lose my gift! I became a corporate manager and didn't have time to paint. Don't ever stop painting! Grace and peace, R Wasiluk
