My name is Kimberly, I have enjoyed drawing since I was a child. The only formal training I have is from Highschool art classes, all other training has come from reading "how to" art books. I started with drawing in pencil and colored pencil, now I have started painting with acrylic paints.

My new town...

So much has happened over the last year - I have been on so many photo trips. I have so many reference photos for new pictures that i have yet to produce - but they are coming!!
It's been awhile...

In the last year I have been very busy with painting, working and moving. Our family recently made the long distance move across the country from Ontario to Alberta. Now that we are settled, I am getting back in the swing of things getting back to my painting and drawing and now I will have a whole new Province to experience and paint!!!!

In my first art show, which I was very proud to be accepted in, I also received an honorable mention. This has been a very exciting month for me but sadly now that show is over and I am a little more familiar with the process and am looking forward to the next show I am accepted in.

I have posted my latest picture - the bridge. I have entered my first Juried Art Show as well, this is all very exciting.

Hi Kimberly! I think your portraits are great. They are very expressive, and full of life. Keep up the good work.
P.S. The monkeys kinda scare me. I have the feeling that at any moment they might jump out of the screen, and attack me.
