ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY AND ART STATEMENT
Mary Rettig is an American artist and poet born in Southbridge, MA. She moved to Worcester, MA., in the early 1980's. She is a graduate of Quinsigmond Community College where she has taken Drawing. She also attended Worcester State Collage where she has taken Mixed Media Art. She continues to take art and writing classes and workshops at the Worcester Art Museum.
In the early 2000's she has shown her art at the Worcester Italian Cultural Center. In 2003, 2004 and presently, she has shown her art at the Genesis Club Art Show. Mary has featured her poetry at a local poetry venue and read at various open readings. She has published her Poetry in the Geneses' Alive Newsletter.
For Mary Rettig both her her imagination and creativity has been her rock and saving grace.
Art has been Mary's way to make sense and meaning of her life experiences....
