Born in Eupatoria, I - Edith Suchodrew, have finished 1971 the middle school of arts by Latvian Academy of Arts in Riga, Latvia, and 1981 graduated the Latvian Academy of Arts as Graphic Artist / Diploma Free Fine Art /. Since 1991 - I live and work in Aachen / Germany. Liberty, self - fulfilment in the ideas, in the poems, in the art. Poetries and pictures. Since 1985 - Member of Artist Union of the USSR and Latvia. Since 1999 - Member of Art Addiction Medial Art Association ( AAMAA ). Since 2008 - Member of International Association of Art (IAA) at UNESCO. Works from me are in the ownership from Museums and private owners in many countries. Since 1974 I have exhibited my artworks worldwide, winning numerous prizes and awards, participating in more than 350 exhibitions internationally and 65 solo exhibitions. Edith Suchodrew - a high creative artist - her name is well known in many towns and countries.
Watercolours, drawings, wood cut in big forms are also artistic activities from Edith Suchodrew, as well, as oil painting, silk painting, painting on porcelain, computer graphic and animation.
With oil painting continues a coloured period, which takes a new way with computer graphic, animation and water colours after the “black - white“ phase.
Bigformated oil pictures with several, often with tragical themes, make the creative activities richer. Portraits and figurative painting take an important place in her art.
Watercolours united in series and variable themes, how for example : landscape novels, symphony of the woods, arcs of Byzantine, circles of life, fantastic realities etc.
