This is a portrait of my Grand Mother. She painted in oils and water color. Her spirit is what I bring out in this portrait. When I create a portrait, each face comes alive within its support. I love the intricacies and subtleties of the human face. There is a definate story in each face that I encounter and I love to explore that story, bringing it out for all to see.
I have been painting now for almost 30 years. My portrait paintings are heirlooms. They grace the walls of homes in numerous states. I truly love what I do.

Getting ready for the show
2006-07-31
In 30 days I will have put up my first show in over two years. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time. I have received a commission for a portrait and hopefully I will have it completed early enough so that it will get to be in the show.
The emptiness, the loss of creative heart and soul is coming back. I feel like an empty glass being slowly filled up with life-saving creative juices. I am happier and healthier in so many ways. I do not remember feeling and being this strong. Believe me it feels trmendous!
