Being married to a quite traditional Mescalero Apache, triggered my already unusual interest in Native American culture and religion. Unusual because I was born and raised in The Netherlands. Now I live in California. Being with my true soulmate and love of my life, I started painting from the heart. Visitors of my shows often give me interesting comments. For instance, one of them told me she felt like I channeled the Spirit of each person into the portrait. An elderly man who stood in front of my 'Spirit Rising' said he had been healed through this painting. You be the judge. I just hope you enjoy looking at them.
