I believe all art should be aesthetically pleasing in some way or another. My art is a combination of photography and encaustic (ancient wax painting). Although I did not invent this process it speaks to me and creates a vision or interpretation of the world around me. I think all art, either subject matter or style should reflect a sign of the times. These distressed images are the conclusion of my process of art.

Billie, I love your work. It speaks to me. The combination of pigment and photos is so dynamic. You can probably guess that the cow would be my favorite. Thanx for your comments as well. I have an artist friend that also works in encaustic. Check out her site. She's linked to mine-jeaniechadwick.com. Look for Erica Brown under the links.
She does a similar process with encaustic and photos. I believe you are kindred spirits.
