For me still-life painting is about experience the subject as I paint, and the excitement come from being right in front of me as I work. The use of intensity color is very important to me,it is my hope that it awaken our emotional feeling,and establish a reationship with the viwer and the object. It is also the contact and finding the object that inspires my work. I feel my still-life has a similar ideas like that of Ductch 17th century Vanitas painting which in (Latin: means vanity)were the object have deeper maening in our lives.
