Barbara Butler received her formal art training at Annette Hathaway’s Atelier in Excelsior, MN, where she became accomplished in oils, watercolors and pastels along with life drawings. She also attended workshops at Richard Lack’s famous Atelier in St. Paul. Barbara’s paintings include horses, landscapes, wildlife, stillifes, and portraits.
Barbara enjoys the personal contact she receives during the many art fairs she attends, usually working on new paintings at the same time. She displays her work at the Common Ground and Carbon County Depot in Red Lodge, MT, and the Manheim Gallery in Cottonwood (Sedona), AZ. Her paintings have been shown in the Yellowstone Art Institute Museum, including the Institute’s yearly, juried auction. She has won and placed in many other juried contests. Some artwork can be obtained as prints.
