My first encounter with art was seeing my Aunt June painting a seascape at the seaside cottage in New England where our extended family spent several summers. I remember thinking it was magic to see a painting come out of a blank canvas - I still think it's magic. After that I always wanted to create and now I'm fortunate enough to have that opportunity. I am a self-taught painter/photographer/digital artist currently living in Havana, Florida. My photography is primarily fine art, landscape and floral. My photographs and paintings have been exhibited in over a dozen juried shows across the country and have garnered numerous awards. My painting mediums include acrylics, collage, watercolors and pastels. My work ranges from the realistic to non-objective, with a current emphasis on abstract and semi-abstract painting. I am particularly interested in all things Irish and have a blog of my Irish travels and Irish inspired art.
