I was born in the UK in a Suffolk town in 1981, I was educated in Ipswich where I studied Art through school and college which is where I became interested in the seemingly endless possibilities of expressing landscapes as oil paintings. I have taken inspiration from many of the world famous painters over time including Gainsborough, Monet, Van Gogh and Constable. After a few years of experimenting with different techniques of sketching and oil painting I think I have landed on a style for now that suits both the way I work and what I want to express, although I am always open to new ideas and techniques. I am keen to learn and try new things and would like this to show as a progression in my work.
