Abstract
I compose pieces of art to illustrate my progress toward sincere knowledge through education and personal connection. In my paintings, rich, deep color is a predominant theme. To me, it represents the richness of life and culture. It reaches out to you, grabs your eyes, and holds them at attention. It is to see a part of existence previously unknown to you, and that is priceless. I believe rich, deep hues convey security, child-like wonder and balance. The complexities we navigate through each day are represented by each particle of aggressive color that begs to be seen. The bold lines that are invisible in the material world are represented frequently in my paintings. There is often a small part of a painting that gives a different meaning to the piece once you find it. This is important to me because it makes viewing my art an engaging event, not a passive experience. This is why I paint. I believe that personal interactions are a genuine form of awareness that is nothing but beneficial....
