Abstract
Leah is a multi disciplinary visual artist (including mask and puppet making), a performance artist and puppeteer.
Her main focus in painting is the exploration of colour, and she works mainly with acrylics. Leah’s style of paintings combines colour and form, her works fall into the category of ‘colour field painting’. Using multiple layers, sometimes painting the equivalent if three or more paintings for a single finished work leaving windows to the previous layers allowing the viewer to journey through the creative process.
Arts education include: Spectrum School of the Arts, Victoria B.C., Central Technical School of the Arts in Toronto Ontario, and will be attending NASCAD in Halifax starting 2009.
Exhibiting currently in Kimberley, Nelson, Creston, and Gray Creek British Columbia, preparing for a cross-Canada art festival summer tour.
