About the Artist

Being an artist is a way of life; it requires strength, determination and audacity. I am driven by the love and support of my family and generous members of my hometown.

As a student of the Kansas City Art Institute, I was thrown into my element and determined to succeed. I realized that I was studying with some of the most admired artists in the U.S. My mind and body were pushed beyond belief and at times, I will not lie, it was difficult to handle. Despite all of these newly discovered challenges and experiences, I managed to adapt very quickly and realized that I love college. While pursuing my studies I became an intern at Chameleon Arts and Youth Development and the Office of Homeless Liaison in Kansas City. There I work with underprivileged children who are provided with a creative and stable environment.
