Oil Painting-
Abstract
A fifth-generation Floridian, I earned a degree in scenic and lighting design at USF/Tampa.
My experiences have given me an idiosyncratic "perspective" both visually and intellectually that is evident in my paintings and drawings.
I'm intrigued by the vagaries of nature and social culture, and the points where they intersect: excavating and investigating those places is where I find my art.
The results have been variously described as "edgy", "absurdist" and "graphic expressionism", but I go out for a bite of ironic whimsy on occasion.
My drawings and paintings are in private and public collections in the US, Europe and the Middle East, and have received several awards in juried exhibitions.
My linoleum print "Snakes and Ladders" is in the permanent collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum and was featured in their 2005 exhibit "Seeing Red".
