My name is Desirea Thole, I'm 23 I live in MN. I'm married and I have a one year old daughter. I recently decided to start selling my art work. Mostly I paint, I also love to draw. I'm hoping to make a name for myself as an artist.

Like I said before I don't feel you need to go to years of schooling to be an artist, anyone with a passion for art can be an artist. I think the most valuable thing I've learned related to art was from one of my art teachers in grade school. She said "there are no mistakes in art" that statement has stayed with me, you work with what you might feel is a "mistake" and make it beautiful.
When I see people trying to draw, paint, or whatever and they think they've messed up and they crumple/throw what they were working on away and get frustrated I don't think they have a real passion for their work. You have to see the beauty in all you do!

I'm working on a drawing (colored pencil) right now and I think it's turning out wonderful! I just wanted to say that lol. Hopefully I will be finished with it soon and I will have it on my website! I am pretty much a self taught artist with the exception of grade school classes. I enjoy creating art and I believe you do not need to go to fancy art schools and such to be an "artist" I feel anyone who really has a passion for it can be a great artist.
