Debi's career started at a very ripe age of five years old when she decided to have her own art show. She carefully drew many scribbles on a variety of paper and had her dad help her hang all these on their fence in the backyard. Her dad then created a sign stating "art show". Debi waited patiently. It was about that time the skies opened up and it started to rain, destroying all her artwork. Her dad, feeling terrible about the weather, bought all her artwork for 2 dollars. Not only was that her first commissioned show, but the start of a very wonderful career.
Debi graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA in Commercial Art. Her focus was illustration, however that grew as she participated in an internship with a local design agency learning about the graphic design industry. Fortunate for her, she had a great mentor who took the time to teach her the business of art.
From there, her work experience grew. She has worked as a Medical Illustrator for Washington...
