Come Teardrops so many
Like a watering fount
More than seen of any
For Armenia her child
Has been taken away
The family defiled
Churches left to decay
Ararat has no smile
With events so cruel
Her children in exile
What a barbarous rule
To end wishes and sighs
For their return she cries
