I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware with a concentration in Painting and a minor in art history.
My expressionist-inspired art focuses on portraiture and the figure. Bright colors, violent paint application, and sweeping verticals are characteristic of my art. My work shifts between distorted representational portraits to instances of complete abstraction. This aesthetic sense drives my work, which mainly involves uses of color, line, and flatness as tools to represent people beyond their physical nature, and to instead discover an emotional nature that has little to do with realism. This mentality extends to all of my paintings, and stems from both ancient and modern sources of inspiration.
