I am a self taught artist and I have been painting for 10 years.I always loved to draw and paint since I was a young child.I am a native of New Orleans and was strongly influenced to pick up the brush by a very eccentric and famous Jazz Artist by the name of Charlie Ward.Hanging around with Charlie in the late 90's sparked my hidden desire to start painting.And being a part of the Bohemian Art Colony of the French Quarter brought out my creative expression in a big way.In 1999,I moved to the Virgin Islands to build and run 2 nuclear medicine labs.I lived there for 7 years on 3 different islands,recently returning to my hometown due to Hurricane Katrina.While living in the West Indies,I was able to live in a number of old Sugar Plantations and old Danish bungalows.This is where I developed my vibrant use of color.Being self taught,my art is raw and what you see is what you get;I have no desire to take formal lessons....painting in my style has become a spiritual experience for me and...
