Abstract
I like color. I like light. Most of my work is watercolor but you'll find some other mediums mixed in here and there. My subject matter is all over the place. I love abstract architecture, landscapes and illustrative ink work. I rarely do figures. I do not paint from life but just what comes out of my head. I am constantly taking in information and can be spurred into a frenzy of creativeness by sunlight on an old tin can or a rusty car. I like texture and negative space and how it effects the way someone absorbs information visually.

Artist Blogs
Where to come from 2008-08-04 As a freelance artist who runs another business I continually find it hard to make time for painting. When I do have time to paint I find my head overwhelmed with ideas and concepts for changing my processes and often cannot pick up right where I left off. Short term this has created some challenges for me to continue my exploration in one area and often leaves me feeling uprooted. However, it I also find myself delving into genres of subject matter that I would not normally choose.
faceless figures 2008-04-30 Well, for not painting figures I find myself doing a lot of sketch work that involves the female form. I like the challenge the female body offers. Most of it's lines are secretive and undefinable. Less muscle. Shadows across bodies in sunlit windows. New shapes in old colors I adore.
