Abstract
I am a Nottingham based painter who specialises in a simplistic, pattern based form of abstract expressionism. I use many materials to create my work and give it 3D texture and layers, including plaster, sand, card, varied fabrics, stitching/embroidary, beads, broken glass and pressed flowers.
I take my inspiration from varied sources, some from nature and some from the artificial world around me. I often include text in my work, usually poetry I have written.
My art is formed around the basic idea of 'creating art for arts sake', this meaning that I create my paintings because I love creation in all its forms and do not restrain myself by using figurative/representational images or to state a political or personal agender. I am simply taking my mediums and experimenting with them as freely as I can, pushing forwards the notion that a painting can be what ever you want it to be, and doesnt have to simply be a 2dimensional image.
It is a canvas for the imagination.

Commissions 2009-04-09 Hello all!
If anyone has had a look at what I do and like what they see then please feel free to contact me about commission based art. Say for example you'd like a painting to be in your favourite colours, or would like it to have some of your own text written on it, maybe a different layout or use of materials, then please contact me on tttttaryn@live.com and we can open up a dialogue.
thanks!
