Alvin B Glen
A native of Dorchester, South Carolina, Alvin began drawing at an early age, drawing for teachers and friends, and was always at the top of his class.
Alvin began to exhibit in galleries and festivals and became a regular exhibitor in the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor exhibit. Alvin began working using mixed-media; (pencils, fabric dyes and spray paints) then moved to pastels and at times combine them with watercolor, dye and pencils.
Alvin is inspired by children and the elderly, people and events from his past, church and even his students.
Alvin has exhibited, competed and won and received grants.
His works hang in corporate as well as residential spaces.
