Rachel J.E. Sprague is a trained Scientific Illustrator as well as an active member of the fine arts community in Seattle, WA. A profound love for the natural world, for food, and for animals plays a key role in all of Rachel's artwork. Her paintings and illustrations, often focusing on a single animal or object in nature, reflect her passion of integrating art into science. Rachel is currently studying Zoological, Wildlife, Botanical, and Vertibrate Illustration at the University of Washington. She is classically trained in several Illustration mediums, including traditional methods of Carbon Dust, Watercolor, Graphite, colored pencil, and India Ink, and is available for freelance work.
