Cynthia B. Crier has over 25 years of experience in the architectural profession and has lived in New York City since 1987. Ms Crier started her own architectural firm focusing on residential and retail work in 2000. Prior to that, Ms Crier was Chief Architect of the New York City Fire Department for eight years, during which time she guided all design and construction and instituted a comprehensive program for the restoration and preservation of some of the city’s most historically significant buildings.
During the past two years, Ms Crier has supplemented her architectural profession and delved into another one of her passions, Art. Ms. Crier’s education and professional career as an architect have given her the basic design principles that she brings to her paintings and photography. The subject of her paintings and photographs is drawn from her dual passions, architectural built form and natural settings.
